Magnets

A magnet was used to move the dot around.

A wire is in a magnetic field and a current is put through it to see what would happen.

A coil is put in a magnetic field and a current is put through it to see what would happen.

We went over magnetic fields and did calculations for them which includes magnetic flux and magnetic force. We also connected magnetic fields to rotational physics and basic mechanics. A new Right-Hand-Rule was shown to us as well, where you use three fingers instead of just your hand. There were also experiments on how a magnetic field affects something with a current going through it and cathode tubes.
