AC Circuits 2

Like before, we got data from logger pro from the circuits we put together and did calculations with it to compare to our theoretical values.

We continued with AC circuits, but we added inductors. Most of the day was the same as the last. We put circuits together and got data from logger pro. The data was used to compare experimental values to theoretical values. The one difference from the addition of inductors was Z or impedance.

AC Circuits

We made two separate circuits; one with a resistor and one with a capacitor. Then we fed logger pro with the data from the circuits to get graphs of current vs. time and voltage vs. time.

We went over AC circuits the whole period. We derived equations for AC circuits, but alot of time was spent getting data from logger pro from the circuits we put together. We did calculations with the data we got from the experiments and compared it to our theoretical calculations.

Inductance

We connected a inductor to a function generator and an oscilloscope to see what the graph would look like on the graph.

The whole period was spent going over inductance. We derived formulas and saw how inductors affect circuits. The oscilloscope was used to see what the voltage looks like across an inductor and we did some calculations with the results.
