First Law of Thermodynamics

A flask was put into hot water so the "piston" would rise, and then was put into cold water so the "piston" would go down.

As the plunger goes down the pressure increases which causes the temperature to increase and burn the material at the bottom.

The first experiment we did was to put a flask in hot and cold water to see what would happen to a "piston" that was connected to it. The last experiment was to burn a material at the bottom of a tube when the plunger increases the pressure. Most of the day was spent doing calculations with the ideal gas equation and the first law of thermodynamics.
